LISBOA-DAKAR and PAX RALLY

The conquest of the Grand Depart of the famous Dakar Rally for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 went directly to the gallery of the great sporting achievements of Lagos Sports.

The direct participation of Portugal provided a fresh new elan to the mythical all-road race, with the competition being named Euromilhões Lisboa-Dakar. Highlighting the performance in competitive terms, for the first time a set of stages was held in Portugal to enforce the importance of European soil (Alentejo and Algarve) in the competition, before the race head to the African continent.

As a result of this successful experience, Lagos Sports also organized the Pax-Rally in 2008 and launched simultaneously the Lagos Team Project for the all-road competitions, designed to help developing the careers of driver Carlos Sousa and bikers Rúben Faria and Hélder Rodrigues.
